Leaving Friday prayers have become a regular thing for some people. Until often leave. Though this prayer is an obligation that is no longer doubted. Argument of his supporters from the Qur'an, the Sunnah and the consensus of the scholars (read: ijma ' ). Then, of course, that leave will reap calamity that befell the bodies and even worse would damage his heart.
Friday prayer obligations indicated in the verse,
يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا نودي للصلاة من يوم الجمعة فاسعوا إلى ذكر الله
" O believers, when summoned to perform the Friday prayer, then made haste ye in the remembrance of Allah . "(Surat al-Ahad: 9). The word most expert commentary, which meant ' recollection of God ' or the remembrance of God here is the Friday prayers . Sa'id bin Al Musayyib said that what is meant is heard advice (sermon) on Friday. (Zaadul Masiir, Ibn al-Jawzi, 8: 265)
Strengthened again with the words of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam ,
الجمعة حق واجب على كل مسلم فى جماعة إلا أربعة عبد مملوك أو امرأة أو صبى أو مريض
" (Prayer) Friday is an obligation for every Muslim in congregation except for four people: slaves owned, women, small children and people who are sick . "(Narrated by Abu Dawud no. 1067. said Shaykh Al Albani, This hadeeth saheeh )
Similarly, mentioned in other word,
رواح الجمعة واجب على كل محتلم
" Go (prayer) on Friday is compulsory for every person who has a wet dream. "(Narrated by An Nasai no. 1371. said Sheikh Al-Albani, this hadeeth saheeh )
So what if someone left Friday prayers ? What consequences befall him?
Our teacher, Shaykh 'Abdurrahman bin Nasir Al Barrok hafizhohullah asked, "What is the result obtained by people who do not attend Friday prayers? What explains this hadith?
Shaikh replied hafizhohullah ,
Friday prayer is a prayer that is mandatory for people who do not have an excuse. Whoever left him , he plunged into a major sin . Whoever leaves the Friday prayer three times since underestimate him, his heart will be covered. And it includes people who are negligent. As narrated by Muslim in the book shahihnya from Abu Hurairah and Ibn 'Umar radi' anhuma, both heard the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said when he held a stick in his pulpit,
لينتهين أقوام عن ودعهم الجمعات أو ليختمن الله على قلوبهم ثم ليكونن من الغافلين
" Let the people who like to leave Friday prayers to stop his actions. Or if it is not God's will close them carefully, then they will actually belong to the people who are negligent . "(Narrated by Muslim. 865)
In another hadith mentioned,
من ترك ثلاث جمع تهاونا بها طبع الله على قلبه
" Whoever leaves the Friday prayer three times because of the neglect of the prayer, Allah will cover his heart. "(Narrated by Abu Dawud no. 1052, An Nasai no. 1369, and Ahmad 3: 424. Shaykh Al-Albani said this hadith is hasan saheeh ). This is due to that hit the heart. The unfortunate result is more danger than that afflicts a person's body or skin.
While the earthly punishment, let ulil amr (ruler) also punishing the people who left Friday prayers without any excuse in order to prevent their crimes. Let every Muslim piety to God, till he should not neglect the obligation that Allah has enjoined. If someone is negligent in this, then he will reap calamity from God. Keep the commandments of God, God will surely reward achieved. And God will give grace to whomever He wills.
