Let's See the Gates of Hell in America

Maybe too much if the place is called the "gates of hell", because the real cave Cavern of Death was an underground temple. Indeed, should the entry way through the door in the cave and tunnels.

However, people in the village so Liyobaa, call Zapoteca province. Cavern of Death belongs to Indian tribes who were forced to 'unlocked' by the Spanish conquerors.

In the underground temple, there are four main space, namely:

The first basement is a room that is destined for human sacrifice. The walls are parallel to the various images of the representations that they refer to as God. A bloody rock in the middle of the room is used as an altar for the slaughter of human victims who are still alive.

Then there was the door in the first room that connects to the preserved corpses. Next, connect the third door on the third underground vault, where bodies are preserved of all the kings Theozapotlan.

The last room has another door that is closed by a large stone slab. Through the back door of the stone slab placed all human sacrifice body and the bodies of all nobles and warriors who died in battle.

According to local legend, when someone is being attacked by an incurable disease or oppressed by poverty that makes them seek death, they will come to the high priest to ask for permission to enter the Cavern of Death while still alive. They believe that if they do so, they will be happy in the afterlife.

Because that is the reason this place is called the "Gates of Hell".
